An ideal course for the back country enthusiast and weekend warriors! This course is not appropriate or adequate for trip leaders, instructors or those undertaking extended travel in remote areas. A Knowledge Review is completed online, as is the Final Exam. Classroom based sessions are 2.5 days. Participants are required to complete the Knowledge Review, Final Exam and Skills Components of the course in addition to attending all course sessions for successful certification.

This course re-certifies those holding a current 80 hour qualification. The course will will focus on skills and scenario based activities. This practical 8-hour course looks at potential injuries and emergencies that may arise during your backcountry adventure and focuses on how to manage them effectively. Note: This is a practical, non-certified course which usually takes place in the Bragg Creek area.

This course is 24 hours, delivered over 2 days and 1 evening, supplemented with online learning. Please come prepared for an intensive weekend of first aid training as there is a lot of material to cover. The program is highly practical and is presented using a blend of theoretical concepts and practical activities, scenarios and simulations. There will be reading and quizzes to complete outside of the in-person sessions.
Successful course participants will receive Remote First Aid certification and Basic First Aid with Level C CPR certification. Both are valid for 3 years.
