What We Do

COVID-19 Update – March 17, 2020

The safety of our clients and instructors is and always will be, of the utmost importance to all of us at Rocky Mountain Adventure Medicine.  In this current unprecedented and challenging situation, we have no option but to make the very difficult decision to stop offering our first aid programs at this time.  As the COVID-19 virus spreads, we feel that we can no longer ensure the safety and well-being of our valued clients and instructors, so will cease to offer training programs at the end of today’s sessions until the situation returns to normal.  We will plan to re-schedule cancelled courses as soon as we can.  Please check our website for calendar updates.

We know that many of you will have questions with respect to your certifications.  At this time, we do not have the answers you are looking for.  We are waiting on a statement from Alberta Occupational Health and Safety with respect to guidelines for certifications that expire as they cannot be renewed due to course cancellations or other issues related to Covid-19.  We also know that you want to know what happens when work does resume and you do not have the required certification that you need to allow you to get back to work.  We will try to get those answers for you.  Please monitor our website where we will post any  information that we are provided by OH&S.

Rest assured that we will be back up and running as soon as we can.  Keep an eye on our calendar for new dates and our planned re-opening.

We look forward to seeing you very soon.  Take care and Thank You!

“Thank you” just isn’t enough! We appreciated very much your tremendous support of SARSCENE this year, including RMAM’s sponsorship of the medical event at the Games and providing the first ever award for best performance in the event. Guy Kerr and the rest of the crew did a first rate job. Many thanks for your generosity of time, expertise and resources.
Carole, SARSCENE
I never got the chance to thank you personally at the end of the Wilderness First Aid Course that I took last week but I would like to thank you now. I enjoyed the course and liked your “laid back” approach to teaching the course, your stories about helping people in emergency situations will forever be imprinted on my brain.
