This course is designed for wilderness professionals- guides and leaders, those who are going on extended and remote expeditions, or those wishing to work as professional ski patrollers in Alberta. This intense program involves a high level of commitment from the learner. It is delivered over 10 days, with 9 teaching days and 1 day for self study. For successful certification, participants are required to complete the Intermediate First Aid Online Exam, the WFR Chapter Review Exam, the WFR Final Exam, the required skills components and attend all course sessions.

This practical 8-hour course looks at potential injuries and emergencies that may arise during your backcountry adventure and focuses on how to manage them effectively. Note: This is a practical, non-certified course which usually takes place in the Bragg Creek area.

This course re-certifies those holding a current 80 hour qualification. The course will will focus on skills and scenario based activities.
