80-hour Wilderness First Responder and Intermediate First Aid Blended Re-Certification

The 80 hr Wilderness First Responder Re-Certification course is for those who hold a current 80-hour certification. This comprehensive, professional level program is the “industry standard” for professional responders such as guides, leaders and specialized search and rescue teams looking to re-certify their current certification.

This is the right course for you if:

You need a course that complies with ACMG requirements.
You need a workplace first aid certificate for a low or medium risk workplace, or a high hazard workplace that is less than 20 minutes from a 24-hour health care facility.
You do NOT need OFA 3 equivalency for working in B.C. e.g. B.C. Ski Hill.
You need equivalency at OFA 1 level in B.C.

Program Duration:

The 2 re-certification programs include 4 days of hands-on learning and practical skill-building activities, supplemented with self-paced online learning.

Includes:

Digital course manual and comprehensive online learning package.

Pre-requisite:

Current 80-hour and Intermediate First Aid certification.

Wilderness First Responder Certification:

Valid for 3 years.

Intermediate First Aid with Level C CPR & AED certification:

Approved by Alberta Occupational Health and Safety.
Valid for 3 years.
Recognized in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Equivalence can be sought in BC at OFA1 level.
