80-hour Wilderness First Responder and Advanced First Aid Blended

The 80 hr Wilderness First Responder Program is a comprehensive, professional level program. It is the “industry standard” for professional responders such as guides, leaders and specialized search and rescue teams.

This is the right course for you if:

You need a course that complies with ACMG requirements.
You need a workplace first aid certificate for a ‘High Hazard workplace’ (see OHS definitions) with 100 or more employees on site, that is over 20 minutes away from a health care facility under normal travel conditions using available means of transportation.
You need a workplace first aid certificate for a ‘High Hazard’ workplace (see OHS definitions) with 50 or more employees on site, that is over 40 minutes away from a health care facility under normal travel conditions using available means of transportation.
You need OFA 3 equivalency for working in BC e.g. BC Ski Hill.
You are working under medical protocols that require Advanced First Aid / OFA 3.

The 2 programs include 7 days of hands-on learning and practical skill-building activities, supplemented with self-paced online learning.

Includes:

Digital course manual and comprehensive online learning package.

Wilderness First Aid Certification:

Valid for 3 years.

Advanced First Aid with BLS level CPR & AED certification:

Approved by Alberta Occupational Health and Safety.
Valid for 3 years.
Recognized in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Equivalence can be sought in BC at OFA 3 level.
