Friday Evening – 6pm – 10pm Saturday & Sunday – 8:30am – 5pm. Mornings are devoted to lectures and quizzes. Afternoons are devoted to practical hands-on sessions.

Sep 19 – Sep 27 all-day U of C Outdoor Centre KNB180, Field Days TBA
The Wilderness first aid standard in terms of content and course length, this course is suitable for avid outdoor enthusiasts, outdoor activity leaders, teachers and instructors.  The program covers patient assessment and treatment; evacuation decision making; environmental emergencies and includes the latest CPR and AED standards. This is a recertification course for individuals who have taken the Adventure Medic Course in the past. Course dates are as follows: Thursday 18:00-22:00, Saturday – Sunday: 09:00 – 17:00
Sep 26 – Sep 28 all-day Yamnuska Head Office
This intense 3 day recertification involves a high level of commitment from the learner and is only suitable for experienced individuals. Course Runs Friday, Saturday, Sunday 8:30am – 4:30pm
Sep 28 – Oct 9 all-day U of C Outdoor Centre KNB180, Field Day TBA
This course is designed for wilderness professionals- guides and leaders, those who are going on extended and remote expeditions, or those wishing to work as professional ski patrollers in Alberta. This intense 10 day program involves a high level of commitment from the learner.  With its advanced standing by Alberta WH&S graduates can work as “first aid attendants” with in Alberta. Course Runs Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:0pm
Sep 30 – Oct 4 all-day U of C Outdoor Centre KNB 180
Learn why emergency situations develop, how to assess priorities, how to work through the emergency scenario and how to pro-actively avoid these situations in the first place. The format is one evening class and a weekend overnight field trip. Wednesday  18:00 – 22:00 Saturday 13:00 – Sunday 09:00
Oct 5 – Oct 9 all-day U of C Outdoor Centre KNB180, Field Day TBA
This is a recertification course for individuals who have already taken the Advanced Adventure Medic Course. Course Dates are Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm
Oct 16 – Oct 17 all-day U of C Outdoor Centre KNB180, Field Day TBA
If you don’t have much time and you don’t need a certificate, this is a great course for you! This practical 12 hour course looks at potential injuries and emergencies that may arise during your backcountry adventure and focuses on how to manage them effectively.  Note: This is a practical, non certified course Friday 18:00-22:00 Saturday 09:00-17:00
Oct 20 – Oct 25 all-day U of C Outdoor Centre KB180, Field Day TBA
An ideal course for the back country enthusiast and weekend warriors! This course is not appropriate or adequate for trip leaders, instructors or those undertaking extended travel in remote areas. Tuesday/Thursday Evenings – 6pm – 10pm Saturday – 9:00am – 5pm Sunday – 9:00am – 5pm Field Day
